Project 1: Product Brochures
AgileCare Solutions as a startup company had asked me to help them create three brochures to market for their product; a platform that streamlines communication and facilitates healthcare caregiver services. The platform has three main audiences, the caregivers, the elderly, and family members. I was to create three separate brochures that explained their product as well as promote its functions.
I started with creating flyer that had a back and front side. However, this was too simple and was not able to convey all the features.
I made a second version that looked more similar to the final brochure. My client decided that he wanted a layout more similar to a brochure.
I made a second version that looked more similar to the final brochure. My client decided that he wanted a layout more similar to a brochure. However, the white space clashed with the more subdued brand color, and the green wave form abruptly ended against the tile pattern. My next version tried to solve these problems.
By placing images into the white space, it subdued the bright white space while also adding more interest to the design. I also connected the purple and green waves so that it continues throughout and creates more cohesion. The mockups for the platform also provides more information by showing how it looks like in real-life and adds visual appeal.
For the final product, I adjusted the colors such as making the logos a lighter value in order to suit the overall paler color scheme more. The second iPhone was replaced with a computer to show more information - the dashboard of the healthcare product.
Project 2: 1 Million Flowers Project
The One Million Flowers Project is a non-profit organization that creates workshops for Alzheimer's and dementia patients along with their friends, family and caregivers.
The story behind this project was that the founder of AgileCare Solution met an Alzheimer's patient, and while he getting his diagnosis, they put him in painting classes. This was something he always wanted to do, but never had the opportunity. He was able to create some beautiful works that his wife took pictures of and had them printed out as note cards that she would send to friends, family and doctors - the goal was to find the beauty and learn to appreciate the beauty in the disease.
They wanted me to create branding designs for this event. Therefore, I started with the project's logo.
These were the first few ideas I had for the project logo. However, my client wanted a more geometric design, therefore, I decided that I would continue with the radial flower option. I used rectangles in the later modifications instead of rounding their corners to make it more modern.
They decided on this logo design as the final. The next step was choosing the branding color, I focused on more purple colors because the main color for AgileCare Solutions' branding is purple. The darker purple color below was chosen and I used this in the poster marketing for this service project.
